Winners Announced! April 26, 2014
The winner of this year's photo contest is.... (Drumroll please)... JEANETTE FROM SURGERY TO STAGE Jeanette is a professional ballet dancer with the Miami City ballet who visited The Woods Hole Inn this past July. In October, she had to have surgery for a torn tendon in her ankle, but her Woods Hole Inn t-shirt brought her happiness the day of her surgery and throughout her recovery. For sharing her touching story and photos with us Jeanette wins a free weekend stay at the Woods Hole Inn. * With so many amazing entries this year it was hard to choose just one winner, so we decided to pick two more! Runner-up prizes go to Rebecca at the top of Poon Hill in Ghorepani, Nepal and Sue and Marc at the historic site of Machu Picchu for their amazingly beautiful photos in remote locations. Runner-up winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Woods Hole Inn, plus lobster tacos for two at our farm-to-table restaurant, Quicks Hole.* Now for the voting results: We received just shy of 1,800 votes for this contest and the winners, with 32% of the vote are... Every year, we ask our guests and visitors to enter the
Woods Hole photo contest. The rules are simple. Take a Woods Hole Inn t-shirt and wear it in a remote, beautiful, interesting or unusual location. Post that picture on our Facebook page for all to see, or email it to us and we will post it there for you. In April, we select the winner, who gets a free weekend at the Woods Hole Inn! The winner of the "audience favorite" will get a free night at the Woods Hole Inn plus lobster tacos for two at our farm-to-table restaurant, Quicks Hole. See below for the 2014 entries and VOTE! We will accept submissions until March 31, 2014 and they will be posted here for audience voting purposes.
