The winner of this year's photo contest is.... (Drumroll please)...
BRIANNA in the GOBI DESERT, MONGOLIA. We asked for far flung, obscure and/or simply amazing location and after going through the 2017 entries we had quite the challenge in choosing just one grand prize winner. Finally, the Woods Hole Inn staff had came to a decision. We felt Brianna's picture on the Khongor Sand Dunes in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia was worthy of the 2017 winning title and a free two night stay here at the Woods Hole Inn!* With so many amazing entries this year it was hard to choose just one winner, so we decided to pick two more! Staff choice runner-up prizes goes to Julian at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland and Femke on the Alps in France. Both Runner-up winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Woods Hole Inn. Now for the voting results: This was a nail-biter folks, as there were a few entries fighting for top of the leader board. But the one to claim the title of 2017 PEOPLE'S CHOICE is.... KEN & LIZ at LOUGHE ESKE CASTLE COUNTY DONEGAL, IRELAND The people have spoken and chose Ken & Liz to win a free night at the Woods Hole Inn, plus a $50 gift certificate to either one of our farm-to-table restaurants, the Quicks Hole Tavern or Quicks Hole Taqueria.* Congrats to the winners! Woods Hole Inn Photo ContestEvery year, we ask our guests and visitors to enter the
Woods Hole photo contest. The rules are simple. Take a Woods Hole Inn t-shirt and wear it in a remote, beautiful, interesting or unusual location. Post that picture on our Facebook page for all to see, or email it to us and we will post it there for you. In April, we select the winner, who gets a free weekend at the Woods Hole Inn! The winner of the "audience favorite" will get a free night at the Woods Hole Inn plus a gift certificate to our farm-to-table restaurant, Quicks Hole. We are now accepting votes for the 2017 contest! We will accept submissions until March 31, 2017 and they will be posted here for audience voting purposes. Winners will be announced in April, 2017 -- watch our Facebook page for updates and details. |
